Plain language. What you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

01 What Kidoio is

Kidoio is a behavioural measurement platform for children's digital content. We analyse videos using a nine-dimension framework anchored on Tier 1 child-development research. We provide parents with scored behavioural profiles, a curated watch list, and a kid-facing app that filters content against parent-set rules.

Kidoio is not a clinical assessment, a medical device, or a substitute for professional advice. Our scores reflect behavioural patterns observed in content — they do not diagnose, treat, or evaluate any individual child.

02 Who can use Kidoio

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. Kidoio accounts are for parents and legal guardians. Children access the platform only through the Kidoio Kids App, which uses a session token issued by a parent — children do not create accounts.

03 Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@kidoio.com.

We authenticate using magic links sent to your email. We do not store passwords.

04 Free trial and billing

New users receive 10 free analysis credits on signup. Additional credits can be purchased in packs (10 credits for $5, 100 credits for $50). Each video analysis consumes one credit.

If an analysis fails due to a system error, the credit is automatically refunded to your account.

All purchases are processed through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details — Stripe handles all payment processing. Refund requests can be made within 30 days of purchase by emailing hello@kidoio.com.

05 What you can do

• Analyse any publicly available YouTube video using your credits.
• Build and manage a watch list of approved content for your children.
• Start Kids Mode sessions that give your child access to your curated watch list.
• View behavioural scorecards and detailed breakdowns for analysed content.
• Use the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.

06 What you cannot do

• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Kidoio's behavioural analyses.
• Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to access the platform at scale.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer our scoring algorithms or extraction pipeline.
• Use Kidoio to harass, defame, or target content creators.
• Create accounts on behalf of children under 18.
• Circumvent rate limits, session restrictions, or other technical safeguards.

07 Content and intellectual property

Kidoio does not host, store, or redistribute any video content. We analyse publicly available content and generate original behavioural commentary. Our analyses, scorecards, methodology descriptions, and the Kidoio platform design are our intellectual property.

Video content remains the property of its original creators and rights holders. Our analyses constitute fair use commentary and criticism under applicable copyright law.

08 Kids Mode and the Kids App

Kids Mode provides a filtered, time-limited view of your curated watch list. It is your responsibility to review and approve the content on your watch list. Kidoio's behavioural scores are one input — they do not replace parental judgement.

Kids Mode sessions expire automatically. Children cannot extend sessions, consume credits, or access parent controls.

09 Privacy

Your privacy and your children's privacy are fundamental to how we operate. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details. Key commitments:

• We never collect personally identifying information from children.
• We never show advertising to children.
• We never sell data to third parties.
• Voice audio in the Kids App is processed on-device and never stored.
• We comply with COPPA, GDPR-K, the UK Children's Code, and the California AADC.

10 Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

11 Limitation of liability

Kidoio is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of our behavioural analyses for any particular purpose. Our analyses reflect the state of content at the time of analysis — content can change.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kidoio's total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12 Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@kidoio.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. We will notify you by email and provide the reason, except where prohibited by law.

13 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which Kidoio is incorporated. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
